Eric is having problems with his back and stomach. He has had an ultrasound of his gallbladder. They didn't find any gallstones. The doctor sent him to the gastro doctor and he ran a light down Eric's throat. Luckily, they didn't find anything. However, they'll have to run another test next week to see if he has gallbladder disease. Here is a picture of him in recovery after the light scope.

Cupcakes
The principal at our school brought samples of yummy cupcakes he got while in Charleston, SC. He has a friend that works there and sends them to us every once in a while.
When we headed to Charleston for the weekend, Rebecca and Lexi had Cupcakes as their number one place to visit this trip. We headed there after breakfast and buying tickets for an afternoon movie.
What a treat. All they sell in the store is CUPCAKES. Rebecca ordered a white cupcake with white icing. Lexi had a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. Eric and I devoured red velvet cupcakes with creme cheese frosting. Then we sampled the chocolate chip cupcake with chocolate chip icing.
Lexi and Rebecca enjoy the cupcakes and the view of the hustle and bustle of Charleston.
Eric savors his red velvet cupcake.
A view of all the scrumptious cupcakes.
Cupcakes is a place we will visit again!! If you're ever in Charleston, give it a try.

It's Over!!
I am having to take two college classes in order to be recertified to teach in SC. I starte a Multimedia class back in the fall. We learned how to use the Smartboard, make a movie, use photostory, blog, and much more. It was a great class that I am already implementing in my classroom.
We had a major project to do that was due tonight. We had to present it to our class. I do NOT like to get up in front of adults. However, I did it. I am so glad to have the project behind me.
I will say, it is a project that I will use every day in my classroom. That makes it all worthwhile.

Lordy, Lordy. Jennifer's 40
My baby sister turns 40 on January 15th. Her husband, Anthony, planned a surprise party for her. All was well with the plans until he accidently texted her a copy of the message we received letting us know the location had been changed. Oh well. She was, however, surprised to see Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Mel. They drove up from Albany, GA just for the party. We haven't seen them in about 4 years. It was great to visit with them Momma Hope, Aunt Beckie and Uncle Bill.
Dad couldn't make the party. He was in LA duck hunting. However, he called and talked to her while we were at the party. Jennifer cried while talking to him. Will WE ever grow up? Or do we just have the Burnette blood in us?
Happy Birthday, Baby Sister. 40 isn't all that bad!

A Great 2008
It was a quiet evening at the Liles house. We watched Clemson get beat by the "War Geagles". During half time, Rebecca talked Eric into shooting the firewords Momma Hope and Grandad had given him for Christmas. We had a great time shooting ours and watching our neighbors.
Our New Year's Resolutions are:
Rebecca: Have 2 good school years (End of 5th and Beginning of 6th)
Kelli: 1.)Go to bed on time. 2.) Cook at home more.
Eric: 1.)Spend more time with Kelli and Rebecca. 2.)Eat less where ever I'm eating.

A Tennessee Christmas
Mom and Dad moved to Knoxville back in November. We all enjoyed Christmas in their new house. Jennifer, Anthony, Jordan, and Logan arrived before we did. We all enjoyed yummy spaghetti and then got down to business. It is Jordan and Rebecca's job to pass out the presents to everyone. We all wait until they are all passed out and then the floor becomes a pile of wrapping paper.
Mom said that every time she went shopping for Christmas, she came home with stuff for the new house. She and dad decided to give us money instead of gifts this year. We were all thrilled with that idea. We spent it over and over in our minds atleast 100 times.
Jennifer and her family were able to stay for a couple of days. We enjoyed shopping, eating, and sharing stories. It's always great to be around family.

After Rebecca oohed and aahed over her Santa goodies, IT WAS ON for the rest of us. We didn't even start with the stockings like we normally do. We were all very blessed with our loot. The favorite gifts include:
1. Eric-GPS System and Dale Jr. car/hat
2. Kelli-Vera Bradley Bags and digital picture frame
3. Rebecca- Vera Bradley purse and clothes.
4. Levi-The wrapping paper to play in

Christmas Eve Fireworks
It is a tradition in Eric's family to shoot fireworks on Christmas Eve. We've done it ever since Rebecca was little. She begs every year to go buy the fireworks. This year, we were invited over to Eric's uncles house to do the fireworks with his family. Maw Maw, Uncle Perry, Deb, Katie, Stephanie, Aunt Faye, Brayden, Mikayla, Tenille, Brian, and a couple of others were there for the excitement. I have never seen so many fireworks. Perry delivered a fun night full of food, family, and fireworks. I hope it's something we'll do every year.
