Slump

As many of you have noticed, I haven't blogged in a while. To tell you the truth, not too much has been going on for me. I have actually felt pretty blah. I can't seem to get any energy. I am finally giving in and going to the doctor on Monday to discuss having a sleep study done. Eric thinks I'm not sleeping well enough at night and that is my problem. I'll let you know what I find out.

Success

Eric made some life changes at the beginning of the year. He joined Gold's gym and changed his eating habits. He has been very disciplined about going to the gym every weekday morning and eating much healthier.
He has savored each dropped pound and clothes size. However, his greatest joy was when he could fit back into his Levi's this morning!! Here he is proudly showing off the fit:

Way to go, Eric!! I am so proud of you. : )

Chaperone

I was asked to volunteer for Rebecca's middle school Valentine's Day dance. She wasn't too happy about the idea. I tried desperately to stay away from her. I did manage to sneak a video of Rebecca and her group of friends doing a line dance. She finally spotted me and got furious. I let her be to have her fun. I did get a few pictures(thanks to a former student that took my camera for me).

It wasn't a horrible experience. They left the lights on and the kids were well behaved. I didn't have to use my umbrella to poke kids out of corners. I didn't even see any hand holding going on. What I did observe were some teenagers trying to figure out who they are and how they fit into the picture. It was obvious, to me, the different age groups. The sixth graders were awkward and the eighth graders to cool.

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

NASCAR season is here. Eric had his birthday party arranged for Sunday so that there would be no chance of him missing the Bud Shootout, the season opener of NASCAR. Here he is at the beginning of the race.

And as Junior takes the lead:

Eric had some choices tonight. His Tigers were playing and NASCAR was racing. He switched back and forth until the Clemson game was over. Sadly, it was not a winning night for Eric's teams.
