We have a cherry tree near the pool. It provides shade for the pool, but it is a pain in the rear. During the beginning of the summer, it drops little berries that go in the pool and all over the patio. In the fall, the leaves fall into the pool. They collect in the skimmer and cause problems.
After much debate, Eric decided to cut it down. He and Rebecca cut and hauled limbs all day. The tree is down. All that needs to be done now is to have the stumped removed.
By the way, Eric said this was not a "honey-do list" item. He siad it was a "father-in-law do list" item.

The Tweenage Craze
If any of you have tweenagers, you know that the latest craze is Hannah Montana. Her concert tickets have been a subject around many American households. We, like many others, were unable to snag tickets to the much anticipated concert. Lucky for us, Hannah Montana decided to film the concert and put it into the movie theatres with a special twist~3D. The movie concert was only released for 1 week. We were able to see it on the last day. What a treat. Amazingly, I even enjoyed it!!

Happy Birthday, Eric
Eric celebrated his 37th birthday today. It was very low key. Just the three of us. We started the day off bright and early by opening presents. We both worked late, so it was a fast evening. I cooked him cheeseburgers for dinner. (They're his favorite.) Rebecca and I made a homemade yellow cake with chocolate icing. The cake was still warm and the icing melted. It was YUMMY!! Rebecca carefully placed the candles in the shape of a 37. After the cake came the fun. Check the next blog out for the future rock stars in the Liles' house.

A Girl, A Table, and A Blood Curdling Scream
If you're a parent, you know that children have different cries. Let's just say Eric and I heard a yell like none other we've ever heard come from Rebecca. I was on the phone with a friend and had to hang up on her. We were down the stairs in record time.
It seems as though the table fell across the outer side of her right foot. It turned blue immediately. We got dressed in record time and took her to Lexington Urgent Care.
We waited 3 hours to be seen. The place was packed. They took her back and x-rayed the foot. Luckily, it wasn't broken. It's just seriously bruised. She was happy about that. They did give her crutches to use until the bruising went down and she could walk on the foot.
Her friend, Lexi, was so sweet. She brought Rebecca a bag of doritos, cookies, and gusher snacks. She is such an awesome friend.
Chillin' out with the animals that make her feel better.
